東方文人大多透過對花鳥草木的描繪，來寄託自己的思想情感並反映當時的社會情形。台北國立歷史博物館收藏之花鳥作品極為豐富，我們以"清代花鳥刺繡橫披"說明其特殊之處，此作品用來紀錄並呈現歡喜慶賀以及祈求平安的心情。

Flowers-and-Birds Painting Collection
Oriental scholars have used the portrayal of flowers and birds as well as other flora and fauna to express their innermost perceptions and reflect the state of society at the time. The National Museum of Histroy, Taipei, has a wonderful collection of such works, from which we have selected "Lateral Curtain Embroidered with Flowers and Birds" of the Ching Dynasty as being representative of their class.
