Cap. Craig McLean 執行多項NOAA計畫，亦為NOAA在海洋資源方面之法定代理人，熟悉美國海洋相關之法令及政策。

Fanthune Moeng 是台灣人，在美國呆了35年了，是..大氣(?)的專家，與中央氣象局有合作，精通美國政府與台灣官方間之合作程序(MOU)。台中科博館的science on a sphere (sos)就是這位孟繁村博士的作品。在世界各地大受歡迎，變成hero囉！

晚上剛好看到Discovery播出的節目:打撈愛媛號，順道看了一下，與海洋相關嘛。

內容是2001年美國軍艦格林維爾號(有民眾參訪同行)與日籍研究船相撞事件。

最近又突然接獲要重返DOM的分析技術。

翻出以前寫論文的reference。其中許多也都是Prof. Tim Jickells與Dr. Keith Weston推薦之background references。

這是一篇在今年一月底發表的文章。

對這Southern Ocean很感興趣主要是因為論文(Marguerite Bay)是做這邊的研究，嘻^^。

根據NOC-OA組的分類：

1) 生物方面

測試生物對高二氧化碳濃度(低pH值)之變異性，特別針對殼類生物包含小型(如unicellular coccolithophores)及大型(如：牳礪)。經由實驗室培養研究而成。另外，可利用pH值及飽和程度之不同比較化學參數與生物(生物地質)的容忍程度。

自上一次2001年的RAE大學評比後，

終於等到2008年這次。
