剛完成美國研究船的採樣，想到一些在船上聽不懂的用字，回來做了些整理。也去英國的BAS(British Antarctic Survey)找了些資料。

整理一些用字詞：

1.    Safety drill 安全訓練：上船後的第一天通常會進行此訓練。告知逃生路線，聽到警鈴響要準備什麼，到哪集合。

2.    Saloon 大廳/餐廳：Do not wear workwear in the saloon. [英國]嚴禁在餐廳穿工作服，他們都穿得很正式，就像在高級餐廳用餐一樣的服式)；[美國]好像沒特別規定，有背心，輪機人員穿的藍色工作服在用餐的都有。

3.     Logistics work 後勤工作： 在研究船上，有時科學團隊要協助後勤物流的工作。身體不舒適，大伙不會勉強你。

4.     Stern 船尾 / trawl 拖網 / drill 訓練 / gantry 起重抬架 / starboard 船的右舷

5.     Read Lab Code for Practice：確實閱讀實驗室使用規範

6.     Wear proper protective clothing：無論天氣如何，都穿適當的保護衣服。

7.     Listen to the crew, they are professional seafarer：仔細聽船員的指示，他們是航海專家。

8.     Essentials 必帶物品：8-1, 護照, 8-2, Personal Survival Training Certificate (必需為正本，在甲板上工作者具備)

9.     COSHH form (Control of Substances Harzardous to Health)：在英國，無論在船或陸地上，只要使用化學藥品，必備文件，填妥後事前繳交給Safety Officers。

另外，其他事項：

     。   Remember：1) Safety first, read and understand Risk Assessments

                              2) Follow all guildlines, procedures and instructions

                              3) No short cuts that compromise safety

     。    A safety cruise is a successful cruise!

要帶化學藥品上船的人員，請務必先準備每一項藥品的MSDS表，上船交給PI領隊以及ResTech探測部門的人員。

以及一張藥品清單。
